Frequently asked questions

How long do classes run for?

Classes run for eight weeks. First 6 weeks are making, week 7 there is no class, then we come back in week 8 to glaze. Each class is about two and a half hours long (2h 30m).

I’m new to clay, what should I take?

We created the Intro to Clay class for new students to try both hand building and wheel throwing. It covers all the basics and is less intimidating because everyone is starting at the same level.

What happens if I miss a class?

We have make up time on the weekend. Students usually miss one or two classes due to work or travel, so we created a time to catch up.

Do you offer private lessons?

Private lessons are available. Contact us for more information.

We also offer Private Events for groups (12-14 people max).

What medical documentation do I need to bring to class?

Any student claiming a medical exemption needs to come with documentation from a doctor or public health official. This documentation must be recognized by the government. Failure to provide this documentation will result in the student being asked to leave. The use of fake medical documentation by a student will result in their class spot being terminated with no refund. We do not take fraudulent activity or the health of our students lightly.

Why is the adult class 16+?

Our adult classes are 16+ because children are too small to use a pottery wheel and we also use glaze chemicals that should only be handled by adults. We have also discovered that many of the students are parents who are looking for adult time to socialize and speak freely without little ears present...

No worries, we have a dedicated children’s class that is specifically tailored to serve children and we only use safe acrylic paint in the class.
